Week 6 Thing 15 - Web 2.0 and Library 2.0

I read the article "Away from the Icebergs" by Rick Anderson. What struck me was the section called "The 'come to us' model of library service". In the past, librarians did have a bit of a monopoly on information. All that changed with the popularity of the Internet. We now have to be proactive, and seek out ways to serve our patrons. This includes staying current with the latest technologies, and being able to help patrons to help themselves.
